The World Runs on Dunkin

Ok, so I am procrastinating. I just visited CNN.com and found that there's a website where you can set up a goal and put a price on it.. weird, but probably works. You also have to designate a referee of course, but I don't know how that works -- nor how the awards and punishments work either.. According to CNN, the reporters noted that the money that was used to buy any goal, that is then left uncompleted or failed, can be given to charity - through the website itself. Apparently thousands of dollars are on the site. And remember, this is real money guys. I guess it works, to know procrastination pays an INSTANT price.

So, I can't stop procrastinating studying for MCATS. It's actually fun really (studying), once I get going.. but I can't get myself to open up the book. What is it that keeps me from just sitting down and reading about something I enjoy reading? I mean, it's not fascinating stuff, but it's readable, and its nice to know that what you're reading is a beneficial type of knowledge. But then again, if I don't get into med school, or even choose any career in medicine in a couple of years, what constitutes the long-term aspects of this type of knowledge's "benificiality"?

I guess that's where my answer lies. I want to go to medical school, but I am scared I won't get in. DOUBT. I have doubt, and that let's me put off work, so I can answer my doubt in a negative way. I am basically not working so I KNOW that I won't be able to get into medical school for sure, I'm dissolving my doubt, my fear, and my worries.

YET THAT seems to be wrong. Why? Because the more I procrastinate, the more I worry about not getting in? It's confusingly ironic. I don't understand.

Anyway, I'm currently addicted to Dunkin Donuts coffee. Too bad they only sell the roasted beans and not the already grounded powdered coffee. Life sucks because it requires work sometimes. Doing work brings a type of satisfaction to worker however. Am I scared to be satisfied by putting possible hard work in studying for the mcats or placing the coffee beans into a coffee maker? Well, though satisfaction lies in completion of the work itself, it is different from the satisfaction also gained from other benefits recieved from doing the work -- like getting into medical school, or tasting great coffee. Other factors underlie whether or not I get into medical school - like my gpa, extra curriculars, interview, or even whether the coffee tastes good - what type of cream used, how much sugar was put in the coffee, how well the coffee was mixed. Satisfaction from completing the work I guess just doesn't seem to be as important to me as gaining the extra possible benefits from completing the work.

Greed.
My procrastination is running ahead to obtain satisfaction, while my hard work is chugging slowly and unpersistently along. Unfortunately, procrastination never wins the race, but destroys it.

Cruel Little Monsters

So, I just went outside for one hour, 60 minutes, wearing full pants and a half sleeve shirt and what? I come back with 6 mosquito bites on one arm. Each tortured portion of my skin, which has been subjected to the cruelness of these blood sucking bugs, has caused my entire arm to swell up into a red inflammatory mess.

This is basically the only reason I do not like visiting India, a land swarming with mosquitos - unsympathetic to a girl allergic and attractive to mosquitoes.

Good news! I recently read that taking Vitamin B supplements makes your body produce an odor that is less attractive to mosquitoes. It usually takes two weeks for your body to form the odor after taking the pills however.

taking a hint

Have you ever wondered, if the reason you make some decisions and turn down others is because life gave you a hint? So, how do you really know when life wants you to
take a hint?

Which ALWAYS brings us to the question, do you live life with your heart or your mind?
Answer: It's whatever you choose I guess right, a little of both maybe, whatever that will keep you chugging along॥

Construction

My future is under construction because I keep knocking it down.

Apparently a synonym for "loophole" in the dictionary is "excuse."

I'm so scared for tommorrow. What else? My household is like on fiber overdose and the inside of my stomach feels like the aftermath of a nuclear explosion. I would have said the b-word, but that might cause my blog to be censured by the FBI.

I know I'm a slacker, but I really do believe that there is a trick to getting out of doing a lot of labor - like solving physics problems. Sort of like a loop hole in the system that is so hidden that no one cares to look into it.

On the other hand, I have always been a firm believer in lost causes, just because no one else cares for them.

This reminds me of the x-files. lol.

Life's most difficult problems require you to ask:
"Does a solution exist, and if so, is it unique."

Decided

I just realized that the reason it is so easy to wheel even heavy people around then to actually push them, is due to PHYSICS.

"Physics is all about the connections." el oh el.
Yes, I decided to not audit, but study day and night till my brain rotates inside my head and my eyes shoot projectiles at constant velocity.

Nothing really happened today.

Last thought before I open my physics book..

I know every generation fears something, but I'm not sure what mine fears. Global warming perhaps? We should at least that is. Moreover, I wonder what kids will not understand about their parents in say 2080. Actually, I wonder if the world will disintegrate by then too.

The await.

So, today is the big day, not really but it will decide my grade in Physics for the rest of the course - as in if I don't get an A, then I'm going to dun dun dun, become a listener and deepen my knowledge in the mathematical interactions between objects in motion.

"What the fuck." - Sonum (as she reads this..)

What else? I feel like I have nothing important to say, but maybe its because my thoughts are occupied by friction, acceleration, and velocity at the moment. Seriously, whenever I go outside now, all I can think of is friction when I drive my car.

Well, on an end note, since this is getting quite mmm boring so to say and my gastrointestinal organs are yearning to emulsify a chicken taco, I will leave you with this thought..

If you could only choose from these three, would you rather be weird, crazy, or insane?

p.s. I need a job to get rid of this extra time. I want to work at the mall! Or somewhere I won't get paid absolute minimum wage.

a fresh moment

well, I'm going to try this "blog" thing out that apparently is becoming increasingly popular, yet I know a select few who have one or even want one.

So, I guess I'm not going to make every post the same and routine, but I will update it as fast as I can, as in one post max a day, since I don't want to become obsessive with this...as I have with every other internet journal/community I have joined in the past.

Anyway I know I probably will be the only one who reads this regularly or at all if anything lol, so I guess I'm talking to my blog or myself.
